Unique Design and Dimensions

 The Kia EV4 has a bold design that sets it apart from other electric sedans. Drawing from Kia’s recent models, the EV4 has a sharp, angular body with a modern take on the brand’s signature “Tiger Face” front end. The aggressive front fascia is paired with slim LED headlights and a sculpted hood for a futuristic and dynamic look. At 186.2 inches long, 73 inches wide, and 58 inches tall, the EV4 has a balanced footprint for an electric sedan. The 111-inch wheelbase means plenty of interior space for drivers and passengers. A hatchback will be available in some markets but the US will get the sedan-only version, a more traditional three-box design. Performance and Powertrain

 Under the bonnet, the EV4 has a single front-mounted electric motor producing 201 horsepower. This powertrain enables 0-62 mph in 7.7 seconds with the larger battery and 7.4 seconds with the smaller battery. The motor is smooth and consistent making it perfect for urban and highway driving.

Built on the E-GMP platform the EV4 has a 400-volt electrical architecture rather than the 800-volt system found in higher-end Kia EVs like the EV6. For longer range, the 81.4-kWh battery aims for 390 miles WLTP which should be around 330 miles EPA. Charging is practical with DC fast charging getting the larger battery from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes and the smaller battery in 29 minutes. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality allows the EV4 to power external devices making it a great option for camping, work sites, or emergencies. Future models may also have vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology when infrastructure allows.

Pricing and Positioning

 Kia aims to make the EV4 the most affordable electric sedan on the market with a starting price of around $35,000. This puts it in direct competition with the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Tesla Model 3, both segment leaders. Pricing makes electric vehicle ownership more accessible, especially for first-time EV buyers looking for efficiency and practicality.

Despite being affordable the EV4 doesn’t compromise on features. It has advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates means the car will always be technologically up to date, reducing the need for frequent trips to the dealership.

Sustainability and Future
